DECKS
These days there are plenty of choices when it comes to deck finishing. Composite, white PVC trim, planters, seating, the list goes on and on. CMRS can build just about anything you can imagine. Chris thrives on creativity and always strives to stand out from others.
Chris started his career in high school with vocational building programs. After school he went into new home construction, learning every single detail of building a home from the ground up. After five years of home-building experience, he moved into remodeling and did that for 10 years. Working in all of the aspects of home-building and maintenance let him find his passion which is creating decks and railings that are high-quality and make homes look their best, and that's been his primary focus for many years now.
CMRS will refurbish old decks if possible, depending on the damage and quality of the existing deck as well as if the deck meets current (and ever-changing!) codes. We work hard to keep our pricing affordable, and honestly the pricing is usually so close on refurbish vs. new construction that owners are often surprised to learn that new construction is usually a viable option.
Adding a deck to your house has numerous advantages, but the most common one is that it raises the value of your home. Studies show that about 80% of your deck project is recouped when selling your home. It's a great way to add living and entertainment space to your home. No one wants to be stuck inside on a beautiful day and a deck is perfect for people who want to enjoy the outside with friends and family in an atmosphere they have created especially for comfort and entertainment.
Choosing a contractor for home projects can be a difficult task. CMRS feels that trust, honesty, and communication are the most important factors and we strive to bring all of that to the table. Most contractors will sugarcoat a project to make it sound easier than it is just to get the signature and then hit you with extras along the way. We will do our best to acknowledge all problems and potential obstacles before the project starts. Sometimes the truth hurts. But it's better to know before than to be stuck later with no options. Questions are encouraged! We will do our best to answer any questions and to help resolve problems.
RAILING
There are so many styles of railing, and something to meet every budget! From low-cost wood railing with a 20 year lifespan (with yearly maintenance; to vinyl rail which is the most popular because it's cost-effective, has little to no maintenance and a long-lasting lifespan; to a high-end aluminum railing which can be either fabricated or built on-site, and is expensive but long-lasting and highly detailed.

Repairing existing railing is only an option on specific projects where material can be matched and the railing is structurally sound. Most railing is installed because there is no existing railing or it is structurally unsound.
The number one reason to have railing on your house is safety! Most projects or stair applications 30 inches above final grade require a railing. Since railing is a requirement for many situations, let CMRS work with you to create an attractive and functional railing that complements your home.
Choosing a contractor for home projects can be a difficult task. CMRS feels that trust, honesty, and communication are the most important factors and we strive to bring all of that to the table. We have very competitive prices, installation is to code and we always strive for safety. We can do concrete applications on certain projects where it is the only option. Talk to us before you go with a contractor who uses tapcon screws which work well, but can fail over time! Our concrete applications are core-drilled and set with hydraulic cement.
SHOWER ENCLOSURES
The sizes and options for shower enclosures is limited only by the yard space available! Roofs, floors, separate changing areas, various colors and more! We always welcome your ideas! Chris loves helping to bring your vision to life!

Chris has been installing outdoor shower enclosures since 2011 and has build many impressive enclosures of all sizes.
CMRS can refurbish your existing shower enclosure if possible, but also builds new shower enclosures. Plumbing is required if a new enclosure is installed. CMRS is not a licensed plumber. Some towns require permits and a drainage system with the shower, but usually a gravel pit under the shower area is acceptable. CMRS will always work to build your shower to your local codes.
Shower enclosures are a unique piece to have on your property and complement pool applications. They are also extremely useful for families with small children. Rinse the dirt off outside and keep the house clean!
CMRS custom builds/fabricates all shower enclosures with quality materials! These are not shower kits which are usually overpriced and made with poor-quality material that won't stand the test of time. Custom-building allows you to get the very most for your money.
